Our Organization Trans World Radio (TWR) is a Christian media ministry that distributes programs through 2,800 outlets and ministers in over 200 languages and dialects. Every day, TWR's ministry reaches millions in over 160 countries.
The purpose of TWR is to assist the Church to fulfill the command of Jesus Christ to make disciples of all peoples, and to do so by using and making available mass media to:
- proclaim the Gospel of salvation to as many people as possible.
- instruct believers in Biblical doctrine and daily Christ-like living.
- model our message through our corporate and cooperative relationships.

Internet Ministry Technical Officer |

Responsibilities:
- Report to the internet ministry team leader and provide support in the design, development and maintenance of web-related software applications.
- Conduct research, experiments, and analysis on internet-related tools and software.
- Generation of functional and design specifications for and supervise development of web-related software applications.
- May also need to provide assistance in other areas of internet ministry.
Qualifications / requirements:
- University graduate or diploma in Computer Science or related disciplines.
- 2 - 3 years experience in Perl, VB.NET, Linux administration, Apache web server, PHP, Javascript, HTML, and MySQL. Knowledge in XML, Flash ActionScript, and shell scripts a plus.
- Solid experience in inter-platform operation between Windows and Linux.
- Meticulous, responsible, thorough; able to work independently.
- Familiar with website design and operation.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese.

A man stabbed and injured his co-worker after an argument. He tried to kill himself after killing nine and injuring eleven others by hijacking a public bus.
Pray for the victims and their families. Also pray for the government departments to have wisdom in setting up appropriate public response mechanisms.
Premier Wen Jiabao commented that some universities in China emphasize on profit making (instead of quality education). Please pray that the educators would have the right and clear priorities, and be able to develop students, who will make positive contribution to the world.
With the growth of 3G mobile internet usage, the government is amending the Ordinance for monitoring the operations of mobile network. Please pray for a healthy mobile / internet environment in China, and development of relevant national laws to curb the transmission of harmful contents without restricting the helpful like ours.
